THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (U.S. premiere)     2015

This U.S. premiere of the new musical THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO with music by Frank Wildhorn was performed in the DeJong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University. It was directed by Tim Threlfall. Requiring over 30 locations, this epic musical required a unit set that was adaptable for the projection of images conceptualized for this particular production. Projections were designed by Daniel Fine. The cast of 34 actors required a varying space for the small and large numbers. The design offered three 24 foot towers that tracked across the stage and rotated to create the various environments, including projection surfaces in multiple combinations. Additionally, one horizontal truss rose and lowered to frame the scenes.
