I am currently a faculty member at Brigham Young University, where I began teaching in 1984. I am passionate about education. I am also passionate about performance design. As a performance designer, I love to manipulate space, clothing, and people. As a visual communicator, I work to find meaning, message, and understanding. As a human being, I strive to be willing, devoted, and personal. 

I am the Head of the Design & Technology area for the Department of Theatre and Media Arts at BYU, working with a strong faculty committed to learning-centered education. 

My philosophy is to strive to be more and to take others along on the ride. I  truly love the process as much or more than the final product. Getting to know and work with talented artists is my greatest pleasure in life. And my classroom is always full of them!
