RAGS     1993

Performed in the DeJong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University, this large musical was directed by Charles Whitman. Desiring realistic sets for as many locations as possible on a university budget, scenic pieces rolled in on multiple wagons while the principle space was sculpted by several lines of "rags" represented by clothing lines. Additionally the false prosceniums were framed with a wooden truss-work stuffed with luggage and personal items that emigrants may have had to leave behind to enter the country.
