12th NIGHT 2016
Brigham Young University produced 12TH NIGHt on the Nelke Stage and then the show toured for the semester to over 30 different schools. I was the Scenic Designer for the production. The Director wanted the feeling of the old vaudeville productions in which the scenery scrolled in the distance as actors "traveled" from place to place. However, because the show had to tour and set up quickly, we wound up using the simple design of a long curtain that "traveled" on rings along a rear steel pipe frame. The cast also had theatrical blocks they could sit and stand upon, as well as stack, for different effects. Simple and light, the set had to set up and take down in a matter of minutes. Directed by Megan Sanborn Jones.
